Omaha Wasp Control
Ensuring Your Property Is Safe from Wasps
Wasps, like bees, can help pollinate flowers and make beautiful gardens, however most of us don’t want these volatile insects or their angry stingers anywhere near our homes or workplaces. Wasps tend to build their nests in shady, protected areas such as the underside of trees, roofs, decks, and other places. Wasps have painful stings and are quick to become hostile if they feel they or their nests are being threatened. To keep your living and work environments safe from wasp infestations, we have perfected a variety of safe, effective wasp control methods.
If you have a wasp problem but cannot identify a visible wasp nest you may notice wasps going into a void, crack or crevice. This likely means that the nest resides in a hole under the siding or block foundations, a crack in the side of your house or overhang, or an opening into the attic space. This type of wasp infestation is usually treated with a residual dust pesticide that kills the nest and any returning wasps. Wasp nests that are visible are treated with a residual pesticide and removed. Quality Pest Control will treat and when possible remove the nests. For a more permanent solution, we recommend a Healthy Home Bundle!

What Is the Difference Between Bees and Wasps?
Wasps and bees are beneficial insects, although they are generally considered to be pests because of their ability to sting. Wasps can become a problem in autumn when they may disrupt many outdoor activities. People often mistakenly call all stinging insect's “bees”. While both social wasps and bees live in colonies ruled by queens and maintained by workers, they look and behave differently. It is important to distinguish between these insects because different methods may be necessary to control them if they become a nuisance.
Bees and wasps all belong to the order Hymenoptera. They are also members of the suborder Apocrita, characterized by a common narrow waist. This waist is really a thin junction between the thorax and the abdomen, giving these insects a waist-like appearance.
Bees and wasps have other characteristics in common as well. They both have larvae which look like maggots and have modified ovipositors which they use to sting and inject venom.
